Dense fog and unexpected encounters guarantee an adventure. The cable car is out of service, but the hike itself will be an unforgettable experience.

Campsite in Winterberg: affordable and central, but not quite perfect.
In November 2023, we visited a campsite in Winterberg. The pitch isn't exactly cheap for one night, but it is centrally located. The site is particularly suitable for winter sports enthusiasts, but a bit pricey for a simple overnight stay (without using the winter sports facilities).

On the way to the Aabach Dam

It's Sunday, and we set off at 9:00 a.m. for the Sauerland region, or more precisely, to the Aabach Dam in Wünnenberg, for a hike that includes breakfast.
