Our journey to Salzburg was relaxed and comfortable. Halfway there, we spent the night at a spacious campervan site in Schweinfurt. The huge pitches and the proximity to the motorway made our stopover particularly pleasant. Although there were no sanitary facilities, we were able to adjust well. It's about 750km from us to Salzburg – you can drive it in one go, but you can also, like us, simply spend the night halfway there and then arrive in Salzburg relaxed around noon the next day.

That's the plan, at least.
We spent the night at a campervan site in Schlüsselfeld, practically right next to the motorway. The site is run by a campervan dealership, has excellent paving, and the pitches are huge. Apparently, this company specializes in campervans the size of buses – which, of course, made it incredibly relaxing for us. We probably could have fit two campervans on our pitch…

The site offers electricity, a barbecue area, and a place to empty and refill water, but no sanitary facilities. Knowing this makes it easy to plan accordingly – so it's definitely not a drawback.

We paid €15 for one night and are very satisfied.
