We went to Coffee & Cake in Zadar, one of the few "fancy" breakfast restaurants we had to choose from. A great spot for a hearty breakfast for all foodies and fans of more "modern" cuisine!
Mad Duck may not be the classic place you'd go for typical Croatian food, but if you like burgers and pizza, there's really no way around this restaurant.
This is a great spot, because (out of season) there's plenty of space, free sun loungers, parking right on the beach, and best of all: a beer bar with excellent craft beer right on the sand. As an added bonus, there are also free public restrooms, so nothing stands in the way of a perfect beach day.
We visited Plitvice Lakes National Park at the end of the season and had a wonderful time. It's relatively expensive, but it's really worth it.

We admired the steep cliffs, swam in a salt lake, and jumped off the small cliffs along the coast – at least the brave ones did! It's absolutely worth it!

The "Manita peć" cave is located at the end of a hike in Parklenica National Park in Croatia. Entry is possible until 1:00 PM and costs €5, payable in cash only at the cave entrance. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes and is accompanied by a ranger.
We were out for about 5 hours and walked approximately 10 kilometers – with plenty of breaks, of course. Bringing lots of water is essential; you can refill your water bottles with fresh spring water shortly before the climb to the caves. Highly recommended for hiking enthusiasts.
One of the few sandy beaches in Croatia (although there are still some small stones). Here you can rent two sun loungers and a parasol for around €20. The water is relatively calm, as this beach is situated in a huge bay. The water is rather dirty at the beginning, but this beach also boasts a small water park.
