We had originally planned to have breakfast in Zandvoort, but the traffic thwarted our plans. On the day we intended to drive our campervan to Zandvoort, hundreds of visitors flocked to the town on the Dutch coast to attend a race at the local circuit. Therefore, we decided to stop in Haarlem on our way back to "good old Germany" and have breakfast there – more precisely, at TOAST.
The restaurant looks very chic and exudes a great boho atmosphere. The clientele is mixed, predominantly young, and the place is packed. So packed, in fact, that we initially had to sit at a long table against the wall, which seemed more suited to individuals than the three of us – but we were happy to do so!
First, we treated ourselves to coffee and hot chocolate. Luckily, we were able to eat our solid food at one of the tables. And it was well worth it!
We ordered banana bread with Greek yogurt, a small normal breakfast, and a super delicious fresh bread with hummus, salad, and feta cheese.
Special requests were also accommodated, and we had a great start to the day!
