Those who travel have many stories to tell – and that's exactly how we feel! In autumn 2024, we, Stella, Joana, and Florian, will be traveling through the Czech Republic in our campervan.
Our trip planning covers approximately nine days, including arrival and departure. To keep track of everything, we use Notion for organization. There, we store destinations, routes, and campsites. Each "card" contains information such as dates, address, booking details, prices, category, and status. Thanks to different views, we ensure that every day is well thought out. Subpages help us add must-sees for each location, so that nothing important is forgotten.
Our rule of thumb is: two nights per location. This leaves enough time to explore the area without getting stressed – a valuable lesson from our trip to the USA.
Google Maps for route planning and to find campsites. Together, we create a favorites list that everyone can add to. Even if we can't visit all the spots, the list helps us prioritize.
For Prague, we'll create a separate list of food spots and cultural highlights. To split the costs fairly, we'll use Splitwise – a handy tool that not only divides the expenses but also shows the total cost of the trip at the end.
In addition, we book several tours for Prague through GetYourGuide and save them in Notion as well. This gives us a central platform that bundles all the information.
For our hikes in nature, we used Komoot to select several routes so we'd have a choice when we arrived. We tracked the hikes with the same app, so the memories of each stop remained fresh.
