Paella with a sea view at the restaurant “RESTAURANTE LA TIÑOSA”

We went to the restaurant RESTAURANTE LA TIÑOSA in Lanzarote, right on the seafront. Our front-row seat, directly on the path, offered a perfect view of the harbor town and the setting sun. I must say, my initial concerns proved unfounded. The service was incredibly friendly and the wine was good. We had various cheeses as a starter, all very mild and, to be honest, a little too bland for my taste – I prefer strong cheeses. My wife, however, thoroughly enjoyed the different varieties.
For our main course, we had a paella with fish and seafood. First off: it was absolutely delicious, and the portion size for two people was perfect!
Personally, I've never been a big fan of seafood: the calamari rings were too rubbery for me, and the mussels... well, they're just mussels.
When we travel, I also try to experience something new, to step outside my comfort zone, and that's exactly what I wanted here. It was worth it! Both the mussels and the calamari rings were delicious and not at all how I remembered them.
The entire evening was a complete success and, at around €30 per person, perfectly reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant.
