Exploring Kalletal: A hike through a woodland cemetery

The forest cemetery serves as a burial ground. Small plaques with names and dates can be seen on the trees here and there. This beautiful spot is also perfect for easy and relaxing walks in a scenic setting.

In front of the small wooded area is a large gravel parking lot and even a fairly clean portable toilet. The hike we took here led us through a woodland cemetery, along the Weser River, and lasted just under three hours.

This hike is suitable for all levels and is very relaxed overall, offering many small rest areas (especially in the forest cemetery).
